Plan Your Website
Decide what pages you want to have on your website. e.g About Us, Our People, Our Services. If you are selling products or services, categorise them. You may also want to come up with some key phrases and photographs to associate with your products and services that will entice potential customers. If you can provide this information it is enough to get your website started.
Domain Name
If you don’t already have a website you will probably need to think about registering a domain name. A domain name is simply the address that is used for your website e.g www.domainname.com or www.domainname.ie. To register a .com domain name it will cost about 7euro annually and to register .ie name will cost about 20euro annually. You can check the availability of domain names with hosting providers http://www.letshost.ie/domain/domains. You don’t need to pay for your domain name until the website design and development is completed.
Hosting
You will also need to pay for hosting. Hosting is basically the place your website files are stored online, it is where your website is uploaded. Hosting can cost around 50euros annually on average. Two good hosting providers are www.letshost.ie and www.blacknight.com, another good budget provider is www.webhostingpad.com. Their is no need to pay for hosting until the website design and development is completed.
